COVID-19 Cases Up To 614, Nine More Recoveries
Jamaica has recorded three new COVID-19 cases bringing the tally to 614 island-wide.
Recoveries are now up to 417, with nine (9) additional recoveries, giving the island a recovery rate of 67.9%.
The new cases were all imported, two (2) on a flight from Canada and one (1), an involuntary returning migrant from the United States.
The new cases comprise of two males, ages 22 and 53 years and a 31 year old female.
The new cases bring imported cases to 113. In addition, 219 cases are contacts of confirmed cases; 39 are local transmission cases not epidemiologicially linked: 236 are related to the workplace in St. Catherine, 7 are under investigation.
Some 355 or 57.8% of the confirmed cases are female and there are 259 or 42.2% males. – They range from 2 months to 87 years.
The island’s testing numbers are now up to 15,850, following the testing of 372 new samples in the last day.
In addition to the 614 positives, there are 15,191 negatives and 45 pending.
