Police Seize Over 1000 Rounds Of Assorted Ammunition In Cemetery – JCF
The Jamaican Constabulary Force (JCF) has revealed that the Denham Town Police recently seized over 1000 rounds of ammunition.
The seizure was made during an operation at Calvary Cemetery on Lyndhurst Road, Kingston 5 on Wednesday, March 14.
Reports are that about 6:04 a.m., while conducting the operation, Police officers saw men in the cemetery who aroused their suspicion.
When the lawmen attempted to accost the men, they ran.
During a subsequent search of the area, a black knapsack containing the following was seized:
• One holster
• Four magazines
• One hundred and thirty two 12-gauge cartridges
• One hundred and ten 7.62 rounds
• Ninety-one .308 rounds
• Two hundred and twenty-eight .38 rounds and
• Five hundred and ninety-nine .44 rounds of ammunition
