Jamaican-Born Orphan Now Gearing Up to Represent Australia at World Championships (Video)

Alberto Campbell-Staines was born on the streets of Jamaica.

Malnourished as a baby, he was left with an intellectual disability.

Now 21 years of age, the former orphan is now gearing up to represent Australia in the 400m at the World Championships in Doha Qatar in October.

He is also on track to compete in the Paralympics which takes place next year.

Alberto’s touching story is truly marvelous.

It’s hard to fathom his achievements when you consider how his life started.

His story also shows the transformative powers of love, belief and encouragement.
