Usain Bolt barely Misses 150m World Record in Rio de Janeiro

Usain Bolt cruised to victory over 150 metres on a track set up at Copacabana Beach in Rio De Janeiro earlier today, but narrowly missed breaking his world record time for the event.

He won the race in an impressive 14.42s in the exhibition race and although he missed out on his record of 14.35s, he was still in a celebratory mood at the end of the event.

“It was my first sprint race, definitely a good start for the season,” Bolt told reporters after his win. “I’m looking forward to continuing and starting injury free.”

The Jamaican superstar beat Bruno Lins of Brazil who clocked 14.91s, while Ecuador’s Alex Quinones and Antigua and Barbuda’s Daniel Bailey, were third and fourth respectively.
