Sean Paul to Be Awarded the Entertainer’s Key to New York City
Grammy Award-winning dancehall star, Sean Paul, is set to be honoured with the Entertainer’s Key to New York City.
The “Dutty Rock” deejay will receive the prestigious award during a Rise Up concert on Saturday, August 24, at Roy Wilkins Park in Queens, New York.
The event is being hosted by New York Mayor Eric Adams in recognition of Sean Paul’s significant contributions to the city’s music scene.
In a statement, Sean Paul expressed that this honour is another memorable milestone in his career, and he feels privileged to continue doing what he is passionate about.
The Grammy-winning artist, who has consistently remained a prominent figure in the music world, is celebrated for his Platinum-selling hits like “Get Busy,” and “Gimme the Light,” and “Temperature”.
Recently, Sean Paul was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Jamaica Poetry Festival, one of only two recipients. He was also acknowledged as a key supporter of fellow entertainer Spice throughout her 25-year career.
