Shericka Jackson Dominates Gyulai Istvan Memorial with Comfortable 200m Victory!

Shericka Jackson dominated the women’s 200m event at the Gyulai Istvan Memorial, which served as the penultimate Gold meeting of the World Athletics Continental Tour Gold for this season.

The competition took place in Szekesfehervar, Hungary on Tuesday.

Jackson, the reigning 200m world champion, showcased her exceptional skills and achieved a decent time of 22.02 (1.0m/s), solidifying her position as a formidable contender just four weeks prior to the World Athletics Championships in Budapest, Hungary.

In her professional debut, Rhasidat Adeleke from Ireland showcased great potential by finishing in second place with a time of 22.36, coming close to her personal best.

Anthonique Strachan claimed the third position with a time of 22.45.

Briana Williams, representing Jamaica, completed the race in seventh place, clocking in at 23.38.

Jackson’s remarkable performance of 22.02 came a week after she achieved a time of 21.71 to secure victory in the Jamaican 200m championship held in Kingston.

Her time briefly held the world lead until Gabby Thomas won the US title later that day with a time of 21.60.
