The Jamaica Tourist Board has projected that approximately 300,000 tourists will flock to the island, resulting in an estimated earning of around US$407 million.
This surge in arrivals is largely attributed to the highly anticipated Reggae Sumfest, a renowned music festival scheduled to take place in Montego Bay from July 16 to July 22.
The Jamaican tourism industry is showing strong signs of recovery, and the country aims to achieve a complete rebound in its annual tourism figures by the end of the year. Projections indicate that Jamaica will witness 3.9 million arrivals, generating foreign exchange earnings amounting to US$4.3 billion.
These figures are indeed promising, considering the challenges faced by the global travel industry in recent times.
