Portland Farmer Kills Man Who Was Allegedly Caught With Coconuts From His Property
A man lost his life after he was was allegedly caught leaving a farmer’s property with a bag of coconuts on Monday evening in Portland.
The incident took place in the Norwich district in the parish.
The deceased has reportedly been identified as 21-year-old Adrian Wynter.
The farmer, whose identity has not yet been released by the police, was reportedly at a house, when he saw Wynter coming from his property with a bag on his head.
The farmer reportedly confronted Wynter and after demanding a search of the bag, found a significant number of coconuts. The two men were said to have gotten into a heated argument, during which the property owner allegedly pulled a knife and used it to stab Wynter in the abdomen.
The injured man was taken to the Port Antonio Hospital, where he died while undergoing treatment. Portland police are probing the incident.
