Team JA Coed Cheerleaders Earn Top 10 Finish At ICU World Cheerleading Championship (2017)
Jamaica’s coed cheerleading team represented the island well at the recently concluded Junior World Cheerleading and World Cheerleading Championships.
The championships were held between 26-28 April 2017 at the Walt Disney World® Resort in Orlando, Florida USA.
Team Jamaica finished 8th overall in the Coed Elite Finals. Teams from 70 countries participated in the championships.
Both championships were administered by the International Cheer Union (ICU).
The ICU was founded in 2004 and is regarded as the world governing body of Cheerleading (also known as “Cheer”) and as the authority on all matters with relation to it.
