Faulty Traffic Light Blamed For Fatal Accident
A faulty traffic light is being blamed for an accident that claimed the life of a minibus driver on Monday morning (November 21).
At approximately 6:30 am, a minibus reportedly collided with a motorcar along Spanish Town Road, at the entrance to Seaview Gardens.
According to Loop Jamaica, the drivers of both ill-fated vehicles were shown the green light at the same time when one should have been on red.
The minibus was reportedly driving through an intersection — heading for Chesterfield Drive from Penwood Road — when it collided with the car that was heading toward Six Miles.
The driver of the motocar reportedly sustained serious injuries.
The crash caused a backup of traffic prompting police officers to begin directing traffic.
The identities of the persons involved in the accident have not yet been revealed.
