Nadine Sutherland Attains Masters Degree
Masters for Nadine!
Nadine Sutherland smiled glowingly as she donned her blue graduation garb while having her photo taken recently.
The well known vocalist and songwriter has attained a Masters of Arts in Cultural Studies at The University of the West Indies.
On Monday (October 24), she shared a photo with the following caption via social media:
“Being helped into my graduate garbs for my pictures. It’s official, Nadine Sutherland, Masters of Arts in Cultural Studies. University of the West Indies, Class of 2016.”
Sutherland’s early career was nurtured by Bob Marley.
She went on to become a successful dancehall artist in the 1990s.
She has several hit songs including and her 1993 hit song “Action” – a combination with Terror Fabulous which was used by the Jamaican Labour Party as their election campaign theme, and in 2007 was included by Vibe at number nineteen in its list of the fifty greatest duets of all time.
