Chris Gayle Smashes 108 Off 54 Balls to Lead Jamaica to Victory
Chris Gayle, the ‘Universe Boss’ as he calls himself continues to cement his status as the greatest T20 batsman of all time.
His most recent exploits on the cricket pitch saw him smash 108 runs not out off just 54 balls.
His unbeaten century included 11 sixes and paved the way for victory for the Jamaica Tallawahs who were chasing a competitive 192-run victory target set by Trinbago Knight Riders in Port-of-Spain.
This latest feat by Gayle represents his 18th Twenty20 hundred, a world record, the next man on the list, New Zealand skipper Brendon McCullum has only seven.
This is also the second highest successful run chase in the history of T20 cricket in the Caribbean.
