His fine form continues!
On Saturday (May 14) Jamaica’s Omar McLeod achieved quite a feat at the second staging of the 2016 IAAF Diamond League in Shanghai when he became the first man in the world this year to complete the 110m men’s high hurdles under 13 seconds.
McLeod was simply blistering as he stormed over the hurdles to register 12.98 seconds to win the event.
It was two Jamaicans that claimed first and second place.
National record holder Hansle Parchment clocked a respectable 13.12 seconds to finish second while China’s Xie Wenjun was third with a time of 13.34.
Two athletes were disqualified courtesy of false starts.
Quick Fact: Jamaica’s Omar McLeod is the only man in history to run both sub-10 in the 100m and sub-13 in the 110m.
