Miss Jamaica World Congratulated by PM
After placing in the top five from a pool of over 120 contestants in the recently concluded 2015 Miss World Competition, Prime Minister, the Most Hon. Portia Simpson Miller, has extended congratulations to Jamaica’s representative at the event – Dr. Sanneta Myire.
“She exhibited poise and grace on stage and her excellent performance has made Jamaicans all over the world very proud.”
“Sanneta truly embodies beauty with a purpose, and represents all that is good about our beloved island.”
“While she did not walk away with the crown, she made an impact through her altruism, having tied for generating the most money on items brought for a charity auction, ” Simpson Miller said.
Myrie finished third in the Miss World 2015 talent competition.
She was also the first dreadlocked contestant to enter a Miss World competition.
