Gold!!!! Usain Bolt Defeats Justin Gatlin in World Championships 100m Final!
Bolt reigns supreme once again and he is without question the greatest sprinter of all time!
It was the first time Usain Bolt entered a majored tournament as the underdog but on Sunday the world’s fastest man defeated Justlin Gatlin to claim gold in the men’s 100 metres final at the IAAF World Championships in Beijing.
The American sprinter is in the form of his life and has been undefeated since 2013.
At 50 metres it was evident that Bolt would win the race.
After stumbling in the semifinal race, Bolt produced a decent start in the final and turned on the thrusters after lifting his head to earn gold in 9.79 seconds.
Gatlin clocked 9.80 seconds while Trayvon Bromell of the United States and Andre De Grasse both clocked 9.92 seconds to share bronze.
Bolt has been plagued by injuries this season and as a result, leading up to this epic encounter many claimed this would be the most difficult challenge of his career.
