Unconscionable! Thieves Rob Graves at May Pen Cemetery
Not even the dead can escape the larcenous grasp of some thieves in Jamaica.
According to Loop News, Police are at May Pen Cemetery, maintaining a presence, after criminals broke into graves at the facility on Monday and attempted to steal caskets.
Their efforts were thwarted, however, by residents from the nearby community of Trench Town.
Reports are that, at approximately 7:30am, the police were called to the area after a man was seen digging away at a tomb that was sealed just over a week ago on March 1.
Police said the man was attempting to remove a casket from the concrete structure.
“A chase we have to chase him away and call the police,” one resident on the scene told Loop News.
Another resident added: “Dem heartless and wicked man. People not even respect the dead anymore in Jamaica.”

MAD..MAD ..PEOPLE !!!
As much as I love Jamaica and the Jamaican people I don’t know what to say about this. Have we, have any of us of any nation, sunk so low as to descreate the dead? My people we are better than this. We, who have defeated slavery, and brought forth our own nation must stop this wickedness.
