Raheem Sterling Rejects Deal Worth $17 Million Per Week
Raheem Sterling has reportedly rejected a deal worth £100,000 or just over $17 million Jamaican dollars per week.
The speedy Jamaican-born forward is now in high demand and has played as a winger and attacking midfielder for English Premier team Liverpool.
According to the Daily Mail, the talented 20 year old, turned down a deal Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers described as an ‘incredible’ offer, reportedly worth £100,000 week at Anfield.
And Rodgers had stated that no agreement would be finalized before the end of the season earlier this month.
A source close to the negotiations revealed that the club and the player’s representative remain ‘miles apart’ as they seek to agree a new, long-term deal.
Sterling, who is expected to play for the Three Lions in their Euro 2016 qualifier against Lithuania at Wembley on Friday night, currently has a contract which runs until 2017.
But that is thought to be worth a relatively modest £35,000-a-week – way short of what some of the Premier League’s top earners pick up.

Makes no sense for anyone to comment negatively on this, Reason is> The reasons for his decision was not stated, so there is always another side to the message here!
Other people in his category making millions more per year so why should he settle……apparently his management knows how much more he is worth…so when you have talent you better have good management….
yes his right 2 hold out look how much money the man dem get,at Liverpool in shirt an tie,pro footy is a ting were your life is at risk…..YES…….
And what exactly is his category? Has he scored more 15 goals in a season yet? Has he given even 10 assists in any season yet? Which category he is in?????? Real madrid’s? Bayerns? Barca? I dont think so. If he is smart he accepts the 100k per week and keep his arse quiet. If and thats if he raises his game in the next two to three season then he can demand whatever he wants.
he aint worth it …. especially for someone who aint a finisher! waste of money, he better be thankful Liverpool is providing him dat much, cuz if he decline n go to other club and fail, tha media i gonna tear him apart
I understand Arsenal has an interest in him so he may be holding out if they are offering more.
He serving the club so come to an agreement I don’t know why the club can’t hold on to there players and make a good team I’m frustrated how are we going to win titles, Robbie Fowler is mashing up the club he need to come off that comittee
The money is not all, there is a lot of other thing associated with a contract.
He is in good health now, they see the worth in him, take it. more blessing !!
lets see..they play him in virtually every position, he is a franchise player, he is an England international player, hmm. Liverpool needs to pay the man he is definitely worth it
Its simple, he wants to play champions league fb and is waiting out the season to see if lfc makes top 4 or not
I wouldn’t accept it either..Real Madrid will pay him a whole lot more than Liverpool wants to pay him..
