Ministry Of Education Warns Against Dangerous Jump Trip Challenge

The Ministry of Education is pleading with school administrators to discourage students from participating in the Jump Trip Challenge or the Tripping Jump Challenge.

Also referred to as the Skull-breaker Challenge, it appears to have originated in South America and has already resulted in several persons being seriously injured in various countries.

In recent days numerous videos have begun circulating on the internet, showing students jumping and falling violently to the ground after being tripped by their peers.

In the jump trip challenge, three persons stand in a horizontal line with the person in the middle apparently unaware that they will be tripped when they jump.

The persons on both ends, give the impression that all three will be jumping, but instead they use their feet to trip the person in the middle causing that person to fall backwards.

School administrators are being cautioned against the popular prank being played out in schools and are advised to take every precaution to put an end to this practice.

The ministry said:

“The prank is a horrific act and demonstrates a lack of good judgement on the part of those involved and should not be tolerated. Students are partaking in the prank, not realising that a fall of such nature can cause serious physical, mental and emotional damage with great legal and financial implications.”
