Former Reggae Boy midfielder Irvino English was reportedly killed in a drive-by shooting in Waterhouse on Wednesday night.
He was reportedly shot multiple times along Henley Road in the Waterhouse community.
He was taken to hospital where he died while receiving treatment.
English who also formerly served as a midfielder for Waterhouse football club was the assistant coach at Wolmer’s Boys High School in Kingston.
He played five international matches for Jamaica’s senior men’s team and made 21 appearances for Waterhouse in the Red Stripe Premier League scoring three goals.
His untimely death has cast a cloud of sadness over the Waterhouse community that is presently under a state of emergency due to escalating violence.
