A 14-year-old girl was brutally murdered in Yallahs, St Thomas this morning.

The adolescent has been identified as Kayalicia Simpson from the community of Newland.

According to Irie FM, the girl who lived with her grandmother reportedly went outside at about 5 this morning  to have a bath to prepare for school.

It is reported that when she did not return, her grandmother went outside to the bathroom to search for her. She later stumbled upon her grand-daughters body with the  head partially  severed.  Deputy Superintendent of Police for St Thomas, Beresford Williams says the teen had chop wounds to the neck, head and forehead.

DSP Williams says it appears the teen was getting ready for school when she was attacked and murdered. The body was clad in a pair of  shorts and a blouse  at the back of the house.

No one has been taken into custody in relation to the teen’s death.  The police say no motive has been established for the killing.

All this killing can’t be because people are poor and hitting at the society to be heard ’cause when you kill the wife of a newly wed couple on honeymoon in your beautiful country, then, as beautiful as it is, you have lost at least 25% of tourist income from that country without mentioning the other countries that have heard the gruesome story
