Murders in Jamaica decline by almost 18 Percent
Jamaica’s murder rate while still very high seems to be moving in the right direction.
According to a report by RJR News, 799 persons have been killed since January.
This is down from 966 during the corresponding period last year.
Despite the reduction, the past two weeks have been bloody as several multiple killings have taken place.
On Sunday, three people were killed in St James, on Tuesday a couple was killed in Leas Flats, St. Andrew and on Wednesday, three men were killed in St. Catherine.
