Former Police officer Reneto Adams wants Vybz Kartel to spend at least 50 years in prison!

Many Jamaicans over the years have begged for stiffer penalties for persons convicted of murder and other serious crimes.

If former high profile cop Reneto Adams gets his wish, Vybz Kartel will receive a prison sentence of at least 50 years.

Vybz Kartel and three of his four co-accused are currently facing 25 years to life imprisonment for the murder of Clive “Lizard” Williams.

In an interview with the Observer, Mr Adams expressed his satisfaction with the guilty verdict the entertainer received last week Thursday (March 13).

“I have been one of the voices crying out in the wilderness for criminals to be found guilty and locked up for no less than 50 years for heinous crimes.

The Jamaican people have suffered for far too long,” 

The convicted men will have to wait until March 27 to know how long they will be behind bars. Under Jamaican law they will have to serve at least 15 years before being eligible for parole.
