Trauma team assigned to school after three female students are raped
The education ministry says its trauma team has been offering individual counselling to three female students who were sexually assaulted on the compound of a St Catherine based high school, yesterday.
An armed intruder reportedly carried-out the assault on the three girls while school was in session.
According to reports from IrieFm news: The girls were at the rear of the institution when they were attacked by the gunman.
He reportedly held the girls at gunpoint and sexually assaulted them.
In an interview with Irie Fm news education minister reverend Ronald Thwaites condemned the incident calling it disgraceful.
The ministry is calling on members of the community to assist the police in carrying-out their investigations.
