Jamaica’s Briana Williams Becomes NACAC 100m Champion

On Friday, Briana Williams separated herself from her competitors when she  easily won the 100m event during Day 1 of the NACAC Under 18 and Under 23 Championships in Queretaro, Mexico.

The North American, Central American and Caribbean Athletic Association (NACAC) is the continental confederation governing body of athletics for national governing bodies and multi-national federations within North America, Central America and the Caribbean.

The 17-year-old, who currently holds the National Junior record (10.94) stormed out of the blocks to record 11.11 seconds for the gold medal.
