TTIX Yellow Cab Karaoke | Episode 1: Wayne Wonder

When you’re driving along and one of your favorite songs comes on the radio, you probably find yourself singing along – maybe loudly, maybe off key, maybe dancing like a crazy person because who cares who’s watching?
Now imagine doing that with the singer of that amazing record in the passenger seat beside you!

This week’s episode of “TTIX Yellow Cab Karaoke” marks the first in an 8-week series leading up to The Taste the Islands Experience Caribbean culinary festival weekend. Each week Calibe Thompson – former singer, currently the executive producer of national TV show Taste the Islands, and a producer of the event weekend – is joined by one of her famous friends on a joy ride through Fort Lauderdale in a Yellow Cab. Each week they sing songs and share laughs while you get to watch.

On the premiere episode, Wayne Wonder steps into the cab for colorful conversation, singing along to some all-time favorites including No Letting Go, Bonafide Love (I Don’t Know Why), and Saddest Day. In this episode, they talk about Wayne’s love of brown stew chicken, how his wife inspired his biggest hit, and how he became terrible at Spanish.

Stand by for the Julian Marley episode next week. And stay tuned for more episodes with Caribbean celebrities including Mr Vegas, Everton Blender, Nyanda and more!

“TTIX Yellow Cab Karaoke” is a promotional partnership between Fort Lauderdale’s premiere Caribbean food festival The Taste the Islands Experience, and Yellow Cab of Broward County. Learn more at www.ttiexperience.com.
