Is it no secret that Michael Rainey Jr, the teenage actor – more popularly known by his on-screen role of Tariq St Patrick has a profound love for Jamaica.

In a visit to the island earlier this year, the 17-year old star of the hit American crime drama series ‘Power’ proudly stated that the black, green and gold has a special place in his heart.

The actor, whose mother is Jamaican recently revealed that he has already begun the process to attain Jamaican citizenship.

In a recent social media post, he shared an image of himself posing with Consul General Trudy Deans.

The image was captioned as follows:

“Went to the Jamaican Consulate to apply for my Jamaican 🇯🇲 citizenship & passport, don’t tell me I’m not Jamaican 😀. Thanks Consul General Trudy Dean. If you’re Jamaican and live outside of Jamaica your child can be a Jamaican citizen by descent (thanks Mom 😉)”.
