Dancehall entertainer Mavado was reportedly shot at in Cassava Piece, St. Andrew on Saturday.
The Jamaica Constabulary Force’s information arm, the Corporate Communications Unit, revealed that Mavado and another person had a verbal dispute shortly before midday.
The individual then reportedly left the scene and later returned with a group of men, one of whom opened fire at the entertainer.
The entertainer’s whose given name is David Brooks was not hurt in the incident.
According to RJR, Head of the JCF’s Constabulary Communication Unit Assistant Superintendent of Police Dahlia Garrick said a suspect was picked up following the incident.
It is also reported that shortly after that incident, a man, who is said to have been aligned to Mavado, was shot and killed behind the Constant Spring Market.
The man has been identified as Ian Robinson, otherwise called ‘Gaza Man’.
