Chris Gayle Fearful Around Women Following Claim He Exposed himself, Court Told

Star West Indies batsman Chris Gayle is fearful in the presence of women since reports surfaced claiming he exposed himself to a female massage therapist, a Sydney jury was told.

On Thursday Gayle’s friend and coach Donovan Miller told the New South Wales supreme court: “He always feels someone is out to get him.”

Gayle is currently suing Fairfax Media for defamation, claiming the media company falsely reported that he intentionally exposed his genitals to a female massage therapist in the West Indies dressing room during a Sydney training session at the 2015 World Cup.

Miller said he has known Gayle for over two decades and has become very close to him because of his work with the Chris Gayle Foundation. The UK-based organisation aids disadvantaged young children by using cricket as a means to guide them.

According to Miller, since the publication of the articles, Gayle has become very reserved “and scared, especially (around) females and he always feels someone is out to get him”.

Fairfax Media  is one of the largest media companies in Australia and New Zealand, with investment in newspaper, magazines, radio and the internet.
