New JFF Boss Elected

On Saturday Michael Ricketts was elected as the new president of the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF).

Ricketts takes over the reins at the JFF following the passing the former president – Captain Horace Burrell.

Burrell passed away earlier this year after reportedly battling cancer for some time.

Rickets who went up against the former Ksafa president Ambassador Stewart Stephenson won the presidential race 8 votes to 5.

He will complete Burrell’s tenure which is scheduled to run through to December 2019.

On Saturday, the JFF congratulated Mr Ricketts on his appointment via social media saying:

“We are pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Ricketts as the new President of the Jamaica Football Federation. The elections were held today September 16 at 2pm. The #JFF wishes Mr. Ricketts all the best in his 2 year tenure as President. #JamaicaFootballFederation#StillOnTheBall #EmbracingTheFuture #JFFPresident”
