Returning Residents Robbed By Gunmen Just Minutes After Leaving Airport

Police in East Kingston are now trying to find gunmen who robbed a group of returning residents shortly after they arrived in the island.

On Monday armed men reportedly robbed a group of returning residents of their car and luggage just minutes after they left the Norman Manley International (NMIA) airport.

The victims were found along a popular Kingston highway minutes after the attack.

Police say that at approximately 11:30am the victims, were travelling from the NMIA and upon reaching a section of the Michael Manley Boulevard Highway they were hijacked by a group of men who were lurking by the roadside.

The returning residents were then reportedly removed from the car and left by the road side.

The crooks then reportedly drove off with goods and luggage that were in the vehicle.
