Gunmen Open Fire On Denham Town Police Station
A Brazen Attack!
On Tuesday morning a group of gunmen reportedly launched a brazen attack on the Denham Town Police Station in Western Kingston.
They initiated the attack after police in the area reportedly foiled an attempt by the thugs to attack rival gangsters in the Denham Town community.
A glass window to the general area of the station was reportedly shattered during a lengthy gun battle between cops and the criminals.
Police are surmising that the gunmen, who wielded high-powered weapons, were from the ‘Young Generation’ gang that is based in Tivoli Gardens, and they were prevented from attacking another gang that is based in Denham Town.
Just hours before the attack, gunmen also reportedly opened fire on soldiers who were patrolling the Tulip Lane area of Denham Town.
The police and the Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM) are now reportedly investigating the Tuesday morning incident.
