Eight Jamaicans Arrested In US Immigration Enforcement Operation

An 11-day enforcement action has reportedly resulted in the arrests of over 100 undocumented immigrants in the United States.

Eight Jamaicans are reportedly among the persons who have been arrested.

The operation, by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, ICE. was carried out in the state of New York.

According to ICE, one of the Jamaican nationals was arrested in Queens, NY with a prior conviction of forcible touching, robbery in the 1st degree, and act in manner to injure a child less than 17.

  

ICE says 114 persons were arrested from 35 countries. Of that total, 104 are men and 10 women.

According to ICE, the operation  targeted criminal aliens who pose a public safety threat and individuals who have violated US immigration laws, including those who re-entered the country after being deported and immigration fugitives ordered removed by federal immigration judges.
