Jamaica to Field Star-Studded Team For IAAF World Relays

Elaine Thompson and Olympic relay gold medalists Yohan Blake and Asafa Powell will head Jamaica’s star studded 41-member team for the upcoming IAAF World Relays in the Bahamas later this month.

Jamaica’s women’s team includes the electrifying Gayon Evans, Christania Williams, Natoya Goule, Janeive Russell, Christine Day, Stephanie Ann McPherson, Shericka Jackson, Tiffany James and Ristanana Tracey.

And the men’s team includes Kemar Bailey- Cole, Julian Forte, Jevaughn Minzie, Nickel Ashmeade, Oshane Bailey, Rasheed Dwyer, Nigel Ellis, Warren Weir, Javier Bell, Javon Francis and Jaheel Hyde.

The athletes will participate in seven events, namely the 4x100meters, the 4x200metres and the mile relay for male and female……… along with the 4x400meters mixed relays.

  

Jamaica’s team will be managed by Marie Tavares, and led by Technical Director Maurice Wilson.

The 2017 IAAF World Relays is the third edition of the biennial, global track and field relay competition between nations.

It will be held April 22-23 2017, in Nassau, Bahamas.
