Over 200 Illegal Guns Seized By Police So Far This Year
Police Seize Hundreds of Firearms
With less than three full months completed since the start of 2017, police have reportedly seized more than 200 illegal firearms.
The Jamaica Constabulary Force Corporate Communications recently issued a statement revealing that 205 firearms were seized along with 2,139 rounds of ammunition.
Over 140 arrests have also been made in relation to illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.
The police say, since March 19 they have seized 18 firearms, including high-powered weapons, and 124 assorted rounds of ammunition- with 14 individuals being arrested.
