Ten business places were reportedly destroyed by a fire on King Street in Down Town, Kingston yesterday morning.

While speaking with Nationwide,  Inspector Rema Allwood of the Kingston Central Police said the blaze erupted at approximately 8:15 am.

She stated that the property that was engulfed by the fire housed businesses that provided a wide array of offerings including electronic repairs, a restaurant, wholesale and liquor store, among others.

Five fire units and the rains helped to fight the blaze.

There are no reports of injuries.
