Jamaican Named in List of the 43 Most Powerful Female Engineers by Business Insider

It is no secret that Jamaicans always find a way to rise to the top of the fields they choose to pursue, regardless of where they are in the world.

And Kamilah Taylor, a senior software engineer at LinkedIn is certainly doing grand things in her field.

LinkedIn is a widely used social networking website for people in professional jobs. It is one of the most popular social networks and reportedly boasts over 380 million members worldwide.

Taylor is named in a recently published article by The Business Insider titled The 43 most powerful female engineers of 2017”.

  

The article which is written by Julie Bort was written to celebrate National Engineer’s week and highlights the fact that “there are women having fabulous careers as engineers, building the technology that millions of people use on a daily basis.” 

The list includes women who are developers, designers, engineering directors, bio scientists, nuclear scientist and rocket scientists.

According to the article, Taylor who is ranked 42nd on the list has been involved in all sorts of major projects at LinkedIn, including the rewrite of LinkedIn’s major app, messaging, as well as infrastructure, and the LinkedIn Learning iOS app.
