15-Yr-Old Boy With Scoliosis in Dire Need Of Assistance

Scoliosis Surgery for Kahiem

15-year-old Kahiem Kinght was diagnosed with thoracic scoliosis in May, 2015  and is in dire need of financial assistance to cover his medical needs.

Thoracic scoliosis is curvature in the middle (thoracic) part of the spine. This is the most common location for spinal curvature.

It is generally associated with deformity of the rib cage as well as the spine itself.

In a recently created online fund (See below) Kahiem’s mom, Tanya Lindsay states that her son now has difficulty standing and is in severe pain because of his condition.

“My son was diagnosed with thoracic scoliosis May 2015 when I realized that his scapula and rib cage were slightly uneven. He had several x-rays and a MRI in order to monitor it during his growth period. Initially he had little to no pain, until early this year. He is now in severe pain and needs pain medication to help because he has difficulty standing,  bending, and even sitting down. As a mother and single parent I wish I could trade places with him, but I need to be strong for him.”

“He is 15 years old, well mannered and a disciplined student who is aiming to become a Bio Chemist. I am asking for any assistance you can provide that will help him receive the surgery he needs so he can pursue his dreams. His surgery is scheduled for November 4th, and I am trying to raise the funds needed to make this happen. Any amount you can give is a blessing and very much appreciated.”
