Rio Games Schedule For Jamaica – August 20

On the penultimate day of the Olympic Games currently underway in Rio de Janeiro Brazil, Jamaica will be hoping to increase its medal tally to double digits , having already earned nine.

The final day of the Olympics will feature only one event – the men’s marathon.

Last night (August 19), Jamaica’s Usain Bolt won his third gold medal of the Rio games- and his ninth overall – as he anchored the Jamaican 4x100m relay quartet to victory.

Today Jamaica will compete in the men and women’s 4x400m relay finals.

Jamaica comfortably advanced to both 4x400m relay finals last night with the women covering the 1600m distance in a time of 3:22:38 to win their heat ahead of Great Britain (3:24:81).

The men’s 4x400m relay team, anchored by Javon Francis followed suit to win their heat and book a spot in the final.

The men crossed the finish line just ahead of the team from the United States in a time of 2:58:29.
