Reggae Boy Wes Morgan Confident Leicester Can Defend Premier League Title

Reggae Boy Wes Morgan, who plays for Leicester City in England’s Premier League is confident his team can defend their title after last years shocking triumph to finish atop the league.

As Leicester’s captain, Morgan’s contributions were quite impactful during the team’s fairy-tale season.

When recently asked if Leicester could retain the Premier League, Morgan reportedly stated:

“I can’t see any reason at all why not”.

“We’ve got a few new players, a couple have gone, but no-one thought we could do it last season. Why shouldn’t we do it this time as well? It’s definitely going to be a lot, lot tougher this season. There are new managers taking over at most of the big teams and it’s not going to be easy.”

Leicester recently lost two games against Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona during pre-season.

Following those defeats Morgan also reportedly said:

We’re still in pre-season so you have to consider the fitness side of it. Everyone is still trying to get minutes under their belt, so we’re not reading too much into the results.

We just want to find our feet, get our performance right and build up to the start of the season.”
