Pele Says Bolt is the Best Athlete in Olympic Games History

Though Usain Bolt has not yet completed his triple-triple (consecutive Olympic gold medals in the 100, 200 and 4×100), he is already regarded by many as a legend.

Brazilian football legend Pele recently voiced his opinion of the world’s fastest man.

Though he has been dubbed “Master” Pele for his incredible feats on the football field, the Brazilian describes Jamaica’s Usain Bolt as “Master of the new generation”.

In a publication by French newspaper Le Parisien on Tuesday, Pele stated that Bolt is the best athlete in the history of the Olympic Games and joked that it could have been him if he was involved in sports other than football, reports Efe.

Pele is a retired Brazilian professional footballer who played as a forward. He is widely regarded as the greatest player of all time. Pelé has also been known for connecting the phrase “the beautiful game” with football.

In 1999, he was voted World Player of the Century by the International Federation of Football History & Statistics (IFFHS).
