Massive Fire Results in Heavy Losses at Wisynco Warehouse
A massive fire has reportedly caused significant damage at WISYNCO’s Lakes Pen warehouse.
The company has issued a statement stating that all employees who were present have been accounted for.
So far, there are no reports that the fire has claimed any lives.
Francois Chalifour, director of Marketing and Development at the WISYNCO Group Limited stated:
“The warehouse incurred significant damage, but thanks to the assistance of the Jamaica Defence Force and Fire Brigade the blaze is now almost under control.”
“We are very grateful for the overwhelming outpouring of support which has come in from the length and breadth of Jamaica during our hour of need.”
“The safety of our employees remains the number one priority at this time,” said Chalifour. “Securing supply to our customers is also extremely important. We expect to have interruptions but will resume business as soon as possible.”
The damaged warehouse reportedly serves the entire WISYNCO portfolio, including WISYNCO Foods, Wendy’s and Dominoes.
