54-Year-Old Man’s Body Found Hanging From Tree in Clarendon

The body of a  54-year-old man was found hanging from a tree at his home in Clarendon yesterday evening (May 14).

It is suspected the deceased, Samuel Perkins, also called ‘Eddie’ and ‘Jungle’, of Dawkins Land, Colonel Ridge in Clarendon, took his own life.

According to The Observer, police reported that about 6:00 pm, relatives went to check on Perkins but found him hanging by a rope from a mango tree in the back of his yard. 

The police were summoned, the scene processed and the body removed to the morgue.

  

Three days ago, the body of Rhojay McLean, a student of the University of Technology (UTECH) was found hanging from a tree in Cooreville Gardens, St Andrew.

Only a few days prior to that tragic discovery,  former JLP caretaker for Westmoreland Central, Faye Jacobs reportedly committed suicide.
