Vybz Kartel’s Upcoming Album Expected to Be a Hit
Fans of Vybz Kartel will be elated to hear that he is scheduled to release a new album in June.
The incarcerated entertainer is scheduled to release an album that will be available in stores on June 10th and can available for preorder on iTunes as of May 6th.
The album is expected to solidify the talented entertainer’s place as the best deejay of his generation.
Titled King of the Dancehall, the 14-track set reportedly contains exclusive, never-before-released tracks from the ‘Worl’ Boss’. The songs were recorded prior to his incarceration, and were carefully completed by renowned dancehall producer Linton ‘TJ’ White of TJ Records and Adidjahiem Records.
Vybz Kartel is confident the album will be a hit. He reportedly wrote in a statement:
“King of the Dancehall is not just a 14-song compilation, it’s a masterpiece, an album that encompasses the very essence of Adidja Palmer and, by extension, the Jamaican experience”.
“King of the Dancehall will reinforce Vybz Kartel’s status as not just another self-proclaimed king, but as the people’s champion. The man who has created a movement like no other in dancehall.”
“As the title suggests, the album is dancehall to its core.”
“This album will bring its listeners into the world of hard-core dancehall, not some ‘pop music’, watered-down version. It will give you a peek into my Jamaica. Not the one on the tourist board ads, but the real Jamaica … dancehall Jamaica,” Kartel added.
