Jamaican Woman Nabbed At JFK Airport After Attempting to Smuggle Cocaine

A 26-year-old Jamaican woman was arrested at the John F. Kennedy Airport in New York (USA) after attempting to smuggle three pounds of cocaine in plastic coffee bags according to international reports.

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection Office reports that she was carrying the bags in her suitcase on Tuesday in an attempt to smuggle them into the country.

During a security search, an agent spotted a white powder in one of the bags.
Drake was brought to a private room where two more bags were discovered to have a similar white powder.

The substances tested positive for cocaine.

The estimated value of the drug on the street is US$50,000 or over $6 million Jamaican dollars.

Drake now faces state narcotics smuggling charges.
