The body of 6-year-old Daniel Anderson was discovered in a gully in the Mount Edgecombe district in St Ann on Monday.

According to Loop News, the boy who hailed from a Bellaire, Runaway Bay address in the parish, had his mutilated body discovered by passers-by only one day after he was reported missing.

On their arrival, the body was seen with a wound to the head. The scene was processed and Daniel’s lifeless body was removed to the morgue pending a post mortem examination.

It is unclear what was the cause of Daniel’s death, or whether foul play took place, however the family has been contacted and an investigation launched into the child’s death.
