Police Officer Dies After Accidentally Shooting Himself
A Constable by the name of Orrette Williamson who accidentally shot himself at his house yesterday has died.
He succumbed to his injuries earlier today (March 4).
His girlfriend who was in his company at the time the incident occurred was interrogated and had her hands swabbed by detectives.
Williamson reportedly stumbled while walking down stairs at his home in the Corporate Area.
It’s understood that he was clutching his firearm when it went off.
He was hit in the stomach. Due to the severity of the injury he sustained, he was not able to be questioned.
