11 Persons Injured in Early Morning Crash
Eleven persons were careened off to hospital yesterday morning following a serious motor vehicle accident in Christian Pen, Portmore, St.Catherine.
According to the Observer, at approximately 5:45 am, a Hiace bus with several occupants collided with a Jamaica Urban Transit Company bus while travelling along the Christian Pen main road approaching Spanish Town.
Persons claiming to be eyewitnesses said the driver of the Hiace swerved to evade a pothole in the road.
The collision caused the Hiace bus to overturn, trapping the driver and other passengers inside the vehicle for several hours.
Residents, police, and firefighters united to remove the trapped passengers.
