‘Portrait 1’ by Rohan Goldsmith

I’ve taken up the challenge of this new media ‘digital drawing and painting’ with a view to mastering it.

I have a fascination with the human figure and face, particularly the female’s.

This piece is called ‘Portrait 1‘ and was entirety drawn and painted in Adobe Photoshop using a drawing tablet.

It is one in the series of female faces with dreadlocks called ‘Faces of Woman’.

It is actually the first in the series and was inspired by a picture of a friend which caught my attention because of the composition and the interesting eyes.
