Jamaica’s ‘Bobsled Song’ is Awesome! (VIDEO)
The Jamaican two man Bobsleigh team didn’t fair very well in their timed runs at the Sochi Winter Olympics today (Sun Feb 16).
At the end of the timed runs Jamaica sits in 30th position which is last place or as we say in Jamaica – “Dead Lass”.
The team is not in the best position but is looking to improve in the future runs. Making it to the Sochi Winter Olympics is in itself a grand achievement for a country that has no snow and a team that faced numerous hurdles – particularly financial.
This promotional video with graphics reminiscent of an old 8 – bit Nintendo game from the early 90’s is quite enjoyable and in a way helps to remind us of what the Olympics is all about.
The most important thing in the Olympic Games is not to win but to take part, just as the most important thing in life is not the triumph but the struggle.
This team has faced many struggles indeed. Enjoy the video 🙂
