Jamaican Team Ambushed by Drug Testers in Moscow

Drug testers swooped down on the Jamaica team hotel today to carry out doping tests on the entire Jamaica team as they finalise preparations for the 14th IAAF World Championships in Moscow which gets underway this weekend.

All 44 members of the Jamaica team at the training camp were tested this morning including track and field superstar Usain Bolt who arrived at the training camp yesterday.

IAAF Moscow Bolt along with double Olympic gold medallist Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce were among the 17 members of the team who arrived at the camp.

Meanwhile national 400 metre hurdles champion Leford Green has been added to Jamaica’s men’s 4×400 metres pool for the championships.

This following the withdrawal of Akheem Gauntlet who was a third place finisher in the men’s 400 metres final at the National Championships last month.

Green will join Javere Bell, Javon Francis, Omar Johnson, Rusheen McDonald and Edino Steele in the pool which will contest the men’s 4×400 metres heats on August 15.
